The story of Edith Cavell, a caring and compassionate nurse who worked in occupied Belgium during the “war to end all wars”, is revealed and recounted by a war hardened, weary and cynical female war correspondent whose imprisonment mirrors that of Cavell 100 years previously.
Using prime lenses and subdued lighting to create the mood of the theatre piece, this is the latest in a long line of commissions from one of the UK's leading small-scale theatre companies.
